HolySo holy shit, I am moving into my dorm today at NYU! My roommate is very much the opposite of what I was hoping for. She is beautiful, smart, etc. etc., when what I was aiming for was a fat, ugly, homely girl that would spend her afternoons on little arts and crafts or jigsaw puzzles. But oh well. I'm still packing.. It still doesn't feel like I'm really leaving my home. It's really strange. I suppose this is the big "transition period" of my life, but honestly, I don't feel any different at all. I guess it's one of those things that kind of hit you suddenly in the middle of the night, when you're under the covers eating crackers and reading a book that you're more on your own than you ever have been before in your life. You realize that the time you had as a child are long gone.. And then you flip on the TV and try to make the day go by as quickly and insignificantly as possible. |
