Round 4: Brown and Yale

Okay, first of all, I'm going to have to say that I know that I cannot get into these schools.
I guess my parents just wanted to make me feel like shit, or wanted to visit for fun or something.
But I pretty much felt like these two visits were a big waste of time.

Nevertheless, here are the pictures.

First, Brown:

The thing that struck me at Brown (which is located at Providence, Rhode Island) was the fact that it is solely inhabited by blonde, short, angry-looking girls. My tour guide was no more than 5'1" (she was shorter than my teeny tiny dad), had a fixated scowl, and walked so freaking fast.

Another thing I noticed about these people was that they have this ANNOYING habit of ending each phrase like a question.
For example:
"This building here? It's the residence hall? Each one has air conditioning? Except for two halls? I live in this one? I have 3 suitemates? It's really fun here? Hahaha?"

AHHH!!

Another annoying thing about the tourguide was that instead of periodically saying something like "Umm.." she would say "Arrrr.."

So it was really weird. Like as if she were a pirate or something.

"I really enjoy attending Brown? Arrr.... because it has a great academic background? Arrr, the food is incredible here? Arr.."

AUGH!!!!!!

Needless to say, I hated Providence.

Now Yale:

It was nice. But again, I'm going to have to restate the fact that there's no way in hell I'm getting in.

Sorry Mom. Sorry Dad.

=(

Hehe.. one funny thing on the way home, was my "religious experience."

On the highway heading back to New Jersey, we were driving next to GOD.

I saw GOD.

GOD was with us.

Hehe!
Get it? :D

Round 3: NYU and Columbia

The city smelled, and my mom yelled at me for giving a homeless dude some money.

Pictures tomorrow.. so sleepy.. gotta rest for Round 4.

Update:

Here are the pictures! :D

First, NYU:

Columbia:

My feelings on NYU are kind of mixed.. They have this awesome liberal arts college in which you can pick whatever classes you want to take, and can leave out the ones you don't want..
But then again, it's located in the city.. but that, too, isn't neccessarily a bad thing to me.. I love the city.

Columbia, which is down the road from NYU, basically, was pretty much the same. My parents hated it.
I thought it was okay.

Still, I'm going to have to say UPenn is my first choice..

One cool thing is we went by Tom's Restaurant!

That's the coffee place that Seinfeld goes to!! Well, on the show, of course. It was pretty cool.

It's also the place that Suzanne Vega sang about in "Tom's Diner."
But, well, who cares about Suzanne Vega?

And the ride home.. Ahh..

Round 2: Cornell

Today sucked. We had to wake up even earlier -- around 6:00am..
My dad didn't lose his glasses again, so that was alright, I guess.

We drove about 5 hours up to Ithaca, NY.. and damn!
It's in the middle of nowhere!!!

I had to get home by 6:30 to get to my Calculus class, but we ran out of gas, so my dad had to jump out of the car and chase after people, screaming, "WHERE CAN I FIND GAS STATION!!"
Fun stuff.

Czech these babies out:

Road.

Road x 2.

Yup.

It was really scary in there.

SCARY!!

Yawn.

Frank and Todd were there!!!! :D:D:D

Todd is a big cheater and Frank is a big Wang.

Mmm... toddicecream.... Eeehehehe!
Hehehe!

I'm going to have to say, I didn't really like Cornell all that much..
I HATE HEIGHTS.

UPenn was in downtown Philly, which I loved a lot. I love those stupid, cheap stores. The campus there was a lot prettier, too, methinks..

Yawn.. I have to wake up in about 3 hours to leave for Round 3!!

EXCITEMENT!! :0

Round 1: UPenn

Today was quite possibly one of the scariest days of my life.

My dad woke me up really early so we could visit some colleges.. but we ended up leaving really late, because he couldn't find his glasses.
Inevitable.

So, instead of letting my mom drive, which would have been the rational thing to do, he decided to drive without his glasses.
MY DAD IS BLIND.
Well, not literally of course. But still. Damn.
I feared for our lives.
Here's some pictures taken from the car.
To compensate for the shoddy quality, I shrank the pictures to a ludicrously small size.

Hellooooooo Philadelphia.

Some on-campus pictures..

BUTTON!!!!

He's 5'3.

M0M3RZ!!!!

Goodbye UPenn..

:D

Anyway though, the scariest thing that happened today was not my dad weaving in and out of lanes amidst trucks and crazy taxi cabs, nor was it my dad narrowly avoiding smashing the car into concrete dividers on the turnpike and going down a one way street the wrong way.

If you haven't read about it yet, czech it out on my regular blog.. here.. :D
